Why work for Ebenezer? Ebenezer employees work as a team to provide the highest quality care to those we serve. Our employees don’t work simply to collect a paycheck; they truly work to make a difference in the lives of older adults in their communities. Ebenezer has been consistently recognized as a Minnesota Top Workplace by the Star Tribune. Here are some of the reasons why:
I saw his name upon the wall, with 58,000 more. A fine young man, my high school friend, who had marched so proudly to war.
How could I know when I bid him goodbye, that he wouldn't be coming home. He fought in a jungle dark and damp, his body chilled to the bone.
Insects swarmed thick around his head, the mud was ankle deep. He must stay alert of the dangers around, though his body was aching for sleep.
Memories of family, his mom and his dad, his brothers and sisters alike. His high school sweetheart, soon to be bride, young love enjoyed in the night.
He was leading patrol with five other young men when rifle fire broke out. A sharp pain in his chest was all that he felt, his body went limp throughout.
Yes I saw his name upon the wall with 58,000 more. A fine young man, my high school friend.
I'll miss him forever more.
Mike was gracious enough to share this poem at our Memorial Day Observance and we are all grateful for his sharing. We would also like to say thank you to the VFW Post 1296 Honor Guard for the presenting of the colors and to all the men and women who have served and died for our country. Thank you for your service.
Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree. --Martin Luther
Thank you all friends, residents, families and community who came out to celebrate the dedication of our Memorial Garden. The inclement weather didn't put damper on this day filled with beauty. Also a big thank you to the children and representatives of Indian Mounds Elementary who joined us for the giving of the seedlings along with the amazing talent of Belle Amour. We had such a great time!
We hope that if you weren't able to make it, that you visit soon to enjoy our Memorial Garden. We will be planting our Korean Dwarf Lilac tree soon when the weather is cooperating and we hope that you plant your tree to grow as well.
Also, mark your calendars for our Summer Solstice A La Mode Celebration on June 20th from 6-8pm - click here to download the flyer. Warm Regards!
Remember to call your mother! We all get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives that it’s important to enjoy moments with the woman who helped raised you. Thank you to all the mother’s out there!

Minnesota Campus Compact supports civic engagement and democratic renewal through its diverse network of colleges and universities. Recently, Martin Luther Campus was nominated for the Presidents' Community Partner Award by our partners at Normandale Community College and WON!!!
This award is for a community-based organization that has enhanced the quality of life in the community in meaningful and measurable ways and has engaged in the development of sustained, reciprocal partnerships with the college or university, thus enriching educational as well as community outcomes.
This nomination and award would not be possible without the passionate and tireless work of our Director of Therapeutic Recreation, Sally Peterson. This is what Wanda Kanwischer from Normandale Community College had to say when nominating us, "Normandale students have been encouraged to share themselves with residents of Martin Luther Campus in a variety of ways. Sally goes above and beyond to meet students' learning and scheduling needs and to connect them to residents in ways that enhance their learning and understanding of the wonderful seniors they serve."
We want to say thank you to Minnesota Campus Compact for the honor, thank you to Normandale Community College for your partnership and nomination but most of all to Sally for the AMAZING work you do!
